Founding partner of Bercovitz-Carvajal (EJBC). Professor of Civil Law at the Autónoma University of Madrid since 1979 and a lawyer since 1969.
Honorary director of the Master’s Course on Intellectual Property at the Autónoma University of Madrid.

He has extensive experience in all kinds of civil proceedings, arbitration and preparation of opinions on private law issues (general law, personal issues, obligations and contracts, rights in rem, inheritances).
He is noted for his activity in the field of intellectual property. In this sphere his work has been widely recognised by international legal directories such as Best Lawyers International (lawyer of the year, 2014) and Chambers & Partners (star individual). “A star on his own merit and a point of reference in the field” (Chambers & Partners 2014). “One of the most important copyright specialists in Spain.
